  26. I'll wager it was always quite reliable because of the simplicity of its
  27. interface.  Unices also tend to lean towards "one size fits all" approaches
  28. which reduces the number of interactions that need to be taken into account.

  30. To paraphrase Dennis Ritchie (I think):  UNIX has outlived its commercial
  31. viability, but as a standard it's going to live a long, long time.
